Activities at Lake Lönern

Lönern Turism offers plenty of scope for activities such as hiking, cycling and bathing. The area has lots of excellent tracks winding through the forest. When in season, berries and mushrooms can be found in the surrounding countryside. We are happy to provide tips and advice for cycling and hiking excursions. The noticeboard in the car park displays a map showing a few different long-distance circular routes. The local area is teeming with wildlife and, if you are in luck, you may spot an elk or roe deer.

When out in the countryside, it’s important to respect Allemansrätten (the right of public access). This involves both rights and obligations. It means that visitors must respect the countryside and animal life and show consideration for landowners and other visitors. Lönern Turism has a small bathing area backed by a sandy beach and a grassy area. The grass is dotted with several trees that provide pleasant shade on hot days. Adjacent to the beach is a barbecue area and picnic table. The beach is located close to the campervan pitches, and so is very popular with families with children when staying overnight.
